This lovely little restaurant is host to possibly one of the most painful service experiences in my memory. We ordered nachos, a pasty(which was ready made and simply needed to be heated up), and coffee. We had 40 minutes to eat and a 2 minute walk to our bus. The coffee took nearly 25 minutes to arrive, which is already borderline glacial. Getting a napkin took nearly 10 minutes. Where I was so truely disappointed was that after 40 minutes our food never arrived and we had to leave. As we were leaving I directed the staff to not even bother plating it and I saw my pasty, in the kitchen, sitting in the mircowave, which was open. They were so thoroughly incompetent that they could not even microwave a pastry in the span of 40 minutes. As someone who has previously worked in the food service industry, the length of time this took was absolutely absurd. In that 40 minutes I could have made the pastry myself from scratch and still have served it with time to spare. I can certainly say that these people could do with a lesson in expedience and prioritisation of work, as clearly this is an utterly foreign concept to them. Needless to say, I will most certainly not be returning, nor do I advocate anyone coming here unless they have no other plans for their day. If you do plan to eat here, arrive for breakfast, as you will probably be eating some time around dinner.

Nice and clean they make a great tea and toast. Very pleasant staff.

This is such a lovely place to eat. Family run, the staff are really friendly and the food is great. The menu is large with lots of daily specials including great vegan food alongside great pasties and ploughmans (size and quality wise!) delicious cakes and loads more. Theres also a fish and chip shop next door which has a very good reputation although we have yet to try it. They apparently sell vegan food tooReally recommend Rubys we go as often as we are able.

Wonderful selection of healthy meals, classics and tasty treats. Caring friendly and attentive staff. Cosy setting, fair pricing. A pretty outdoor dining space available too. Love this place.

RUBBISH IT'S makes me feel SICK and it was dirtie.
